Bochum

The city of Bochum is situated in the center of the Ruhr area and is well connected to the world by highways and railway lines. Also, several airports are close by.

BY CAR

Highway A 43, interchange "Bochum-Witten", exit at "Bochum-Querenburg/Universität" (exit no. 19). Follow the "Universitätsstraße" towards the direction "Universität / Zentrum", exit at "Uni - Mitte" (about 2 km). Free parking is sign posted.

BY TRAIN

Bochum's Central Station is well connected to all major cities of Germany e.g. Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt. Please check the german rail website for a train that fits you best: www.bahn.de.

rom Bochum Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) take the subway U35 towards Bochum Querenburg (Hustadt) and get out at stop "Ruhr-Universität".

BY PLANE

"Düsseldorf International Airport" (55 kms from Bochum). From the railway station of the airport there are frequent trains to Bochum Central Station (ca. 40 min).

"Dortmund Airport" (35 kms from Bochum). From the railway station of the airport take a local train to Dortmund Central Station (Dortmund Hauptbahnhof) and transfer there to a train to Bochum Central Station (ca. 50 min).

"Cologne Bonn Airport" (90 kms from Bochum) From the railway station of the airport take a local train to Cologne Central Station (Köln Hauptbahnhof) and transfer there to a train to Bochum Central Station (ca. 60 min).

"Frankfurt Airport" (250 kms from Bochum). ). From the long-distance railway station of the airport (right next to Terminal 1) there are frequent trains to Bochum Central Station (ca. 2 hours).
